Kim Delaney is an American actress who is best known as the character detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered an Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only daughter of a United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a housewife. She grew up within a household that included four brothers. When she was a little girl, Delaney wanted to work as a reporter in the courtroom.
